#10  I read Gust Front for free here, but I didn't really like it (boring Aliens)

I liked this one.

#9  Headed toward the Mobile Infantry

c.f. The MI from Starship Troopers - the book (not the crappy film that shows no power armor nor tactiscs - its all charge or flee while spraying or praying with no engineers, arty of air cover, blech). Or better yet, John Ringo/Posleen style Mobile Infantry.

#8  It's just waiting to be mounted on an exoskeleton with a bigger capacity.

#7  I've always thought each squad should have the ability to lay-waste 270 acres. A nuclear hand-grenade of a certain size would do the trick. Fragmentation shit could be left off to save weight.

It would be like....... um Teeth Pull

#6  What will all the truly amazing recoil suppression techniques they have today, I've long held a dream of a squad sized light cannon. And since cannon rounds are 20mm and larger, and this is fired in direct fire mode, it could technically be called a cannon.

Even more so because it has both an HE and AP round.

#5  Technically if it has lands & grooves it's a rifle as are the 16" guns on the Missouri.

#4  I'll bet the ROEs will changed to disallow their use unless it can be confirmed that there are no women, children, ducks or fluffy bunnies around that corner.

#3  Nice idea. I will leave to you ground pounders to debate the rifle versus grenade launcher.

#2  Vaguely similar to the Johnny Seven OMA, but without all the features. It does cost more, though.

#1  It is not a rifle, it is a grenade launcher that aims and fires like a rifle. Fox News reminds one that to the press, any armored vehicle is a tank and any rifle is high-powered.
