| Americans who Escaped Vehicle Attack were CIA Agents |

| [Yemen Post] An American official confirmed that the four American employees who beat feet an attack on their vehicle in Sana'a last week worked for the CIA. ''None of the four agents were maimed'', he said. The official spoke to News Agency that Dare Not be Named on the condition of anonymity because details about the incident remain a secret. "There is no indication that the perpetrators knew specifically who they were targeting, he added. The U.S. embassy in Sana'a previously put out a statement on its website that "foreign residents... were targeted for attacks", but did not give further details. Analysts believe the United States hurt itself by announcing that the attacked were CIA agents, therefore, making Yemenis believe that most westerns who walk in the streets are suspected to be foreign agents. |
