| Kayani promises jobs for former Taliban fighters |

| [Pak Daily Times] Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Kayani on Tuesday promised jobs for former Taliban fighters. Addressing youths at 'Rastoon', a rehabilitation training centre for youths involved in terrorism, the COAS said a peaceful Swat was in the best interest of all. He said that security forces had fought the war against terrorism for the people of Swat, to secure them from terrorists. The COAS said the army would stay in Swat until the people's confidence was restored. He also told the youths, who had spent time with terrorists, that they were being given quality education and good training in the centre to become good citizens and that the forces would also try to provide them good jobs. |
