Sisters shot in southern Thailand |

Two women were injured, one seriously, in an attack in Yala province late Wednesday night. They were attacked while driving a motorcycle back home by gunmen hiding in a roadside rubber plantation. Halfsoh Pochi, 23, was injured slightly, but her younger sister, Mariya, 18, was shot in the neck and is in critical condition. Miss Halfsoh was able to keep driving and took her sister to the home of a relative, who later took them to the hospital.
