2011-02-08 |
[Arab News] The windows of two vehicles belonging to the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and the Prevention of Vice (Haiah) were smashed in Madinah on Saturday. "The cars were parked in front of the Quba Street branch of the Haiah. Their front and rear glasses were totally smashed," said a Haiah statement. An eyewitness said he saw some young men in their 20s hitting the vehicles with hard objects. One of the vehicles was a GMC and the other a jeep. Police are investigating the incidents and no arrests have so far been made. Quba Street runs through a popular shopping district and is frequented by many of Madinah's residents. It is one of the city's busiest roads. |
