#3  The article does a good job of pointing out how hard it is to measure what is going on inside the wrecked reactors. Instruments & communications there have been destroyed & it's too 'hot' to simply go back in and take a look, which was also the case at Three Mile Island. It was only a day of two ago that they found the bodies of the missing Fukushima workers who died just after the earthquake.

I don't know any answers to any of the questions but I certainly don't trust Chu & co. to be disinterested observers either.
