| [Chicago Tribune] Political strategist David Axelrod ...a Chicago-based political hack, political adviser to Barack B.O.Obama since 2004. Following the 2008 election, he was appointed as Senior Advisor to Obama and we all see how well that worked out.... said he helped Rod Y'gotta pay to play!Blagojevich Who was tried on federal corruption charges that he tried to sell or trade Obama's old U.S. Senate seat, resulting in a hung jury. He was convicted of lying to the FBI. get elected to Congress but not Illinois governor because he didn't see "the qualities for executive leadership." Axelrod told a Chicago civic club Thursday he was surprised when Blagojevich told him he wanted to run for governor in 2002. But Axelrod said Blagojevich "couldn't really articulate for me why." Axelrod said what has happened with Blagojevich has been "tragic" for both the former governor's family and the state. |
