'Fox News set up to fuel conflict in US'
2011-06-03
[Iran Press TV] Former CNN Producer Danny Schechter says the Fox News Channel was established to fuel "polarization and political conflict" in US society.

"You can almost hear the growling in the background as the masters of attack politics go into action, virtually every hour on the hour, on the Fox News Channel," Schechter said.

"The issues they focus on are carefully selected by top executives and then broken down into highly politicized message points."

Schechter added that the Fox News Channel feels it is its duty to "warn their faithful against political deviations that might lead them astray."

Its, however, hard to realize that the topics presented in the channel are chosen based on a strategy of "using emotionally tested wedge issues to politicize by polarizing."

"So Fox plays a double game; concealing the most reactionary and partisan of perspectives in the appearance of populism," he noted.

#13  They're all hot. It's just that some aren't as fun to think about because you have to stuff a sock in their mouth.

Including perky Katie Couric? I think those few days without GolfBravo's ladies has effected you more than you think...

#12  CNN, MSNBC, CBS... Do not realize that Foxnews is not their competition it is the other left wing media outlets. fox news is successful because they are the only channel on cable out of several hundred that report 'fair and balanced'. These leftists are so far left that a middle of the road reporting is viewed as far right. Fox news is often criticized for being too left and too right by their viewers. When did CNN ever get accused of being to leftist?

#11  But the Fox foxes are the hottest.

#10  And MSNBC, ABC, CBS, and CNN are setup to do what? They are all in the bag for the liberal Democrats. If one occasionally has the bad fortune to watch Rachel Madcow on MSNBC or some of the other twits there you find a network fueling the flames of discontent.

#9  Only in People's Democratic Republics you'll find a 'lack' of conflict. It's a natural aspect of true democracy to have conflicting opinions. Then again as already mentioned when you're tagged with the 'C' word, we understand their inherit desire for the first definition of a democracy.

#8  Yes, and what's wrong with dissent and conflict, or is it best to have the MSM pied piper us to oblivion?

#6  As PBMcL noted this is the largest bit of projection we've ever seen.

Some interesting insights into leftist tactics.

"Concealing partisan perspectives?" Ahhh yes, our old friend.... "racism." Please just come out with it will you?

No projecting here. Nope. None at all.
