| Sahwa commander escapes assassination in Baghdad |

| BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The individual responsible for Balad pro-government Al-Sahwa (Awakening) commander escaped an assassination attempt by sticky bomb in the center of Baghdad, police sources said today. The source told Aswat al-Iraq that "he was injured along with his companion." No other details were noted, other than they were rushed to a nearby hospital. |
