| 28 Taliban Militants Captured in Farah Province |

| [Tolo News] Afghan police officials in Farah province said on Monday that 28 Taliban snuffies were captured in a joint Afghan and NATO ...the North Atlantic Treaty Organization. Originally it was a mutual defense pact directed against an expansionist Soviet Union. The men were captured in Afghan and NATO joint operation that has continued for three days ending on Sunday morning in Bala Blook district of Farah province, Sayed Mohammad Roshandel, police chief of Farah told TOLOnews news hound. The operation comes as beturbanned goon's have increased their activities in some parts of the country carrying out attacks on police check posts, government's sites and foreign forces. In July this year foreign forces will hand over security responsibilities of seven areas to Afghan forces and they have also increased military operations to clear volatile regions of beturbanned goons. There are around 152,000 foreign forces in Afghanistan, 100,000 of them American troops fighting beturbanned goons. More than 239 foreign troops have been killed so far this year in Afghanistan. |
