UN team visits Syria to assess humanitarian situation |

(KUNA) -- A UN team arrives in Damascus ...The City of Jasminis the oldest continuously-inhabited city in the world. It has not always been inhabited by the same set of fascisti... Saturday to assess humanitarian situations in a number of riot-hit Syrian cities. "We're from the UN. We're here to help." The team, headed by the director of the UN humanitarian affairs office in Geneva, will be visiting the cities of Al-Zabadani and Doma outside Damascus, a western diplomat said in a press statement. He said the UN team would also visit cities of Homs, Tal Kalkh in central Syria, as well as Latakia and Idleb, and Hama, Rasten and Talbisa. Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad is set to appear on state-run TV tomorrow about the developments in the country, and will speak about pressure being exerted on Syria. |
