Speaking to the media in Lahore, the prime minister said that the Afghan government has been informed about the cross-border attack. He said that such attacks can severely damage relations and trust between the two countries.

Gilani said that the terrorism in Pakistain is a result of the Afghan war. He said that the security agencies were fulfilling their responsibilities well.

While talking about the abduction of Shahbaz Taseer, Gilani said that he will be visiting the Taseer family today and will help the provincial government in securing Taseer's release.
