2011-09-05 |
BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: The head of the Iraqi Parliamentary Foreign Relations Commission Sheikh Humam Hammoudi, declared that "there is a need to review the present Iraqi Constitution," calling to vote for additions and amendments to it. "Countries have drafted their amendments. We presently have 100 additional texts and we hoped to vote for them, but the current circumstances do not permit us to do so," a statement released by Hammoudi's office noted. On the U.S. withdrawal, the statement added that "we are waiting the Prime Minister to present a new agreement following the U.S. forces withdrawal for the training cadres." |
