| Plan to assassinate Sheikh Muhamadawi exposed |

| BAGHDAD / Aswat al-Iraq: Sheikh Abbas al-Muhamadawi announced today that a source at Baghdad Operations Command informed him that an assassination attempt was to be made against him. Muhamadawi is the secretary general of a political bloc. Muhamadwi escaped an assassination attempt on 6 October instant, when shots aimed at him, but one of his bodyguards was wounded, as reported by a statement issued by his office. |
