Paleo law 'maker' gets 30 years in jail

RAMALLAH: The Salem military court sentenced Palestinian lawmaker Jamal Al-Tirawi of President Mahmoud Abbas’ Fatah movement to 30 years in jail for his role in Al-Aqsa Martyrs’ Brigades — Fatah’s military wing.
Or until the next Israeli soldier is kidnapped...
His brother RaÂ’ed Al-Tirawi said that the court accused Jamal of being involved in directing and dispatching Palestinian fighters for military attacks against Israeli targets.

The court also accused him of recruiting operatives for Al-Aqsa MartyrsÂ’ Brigade, dealing in weaponry and supplying arms to his group in Nablus.

The lawmaker was arrested from home in the Balata refugee camp, to the east of Nablus, in May 2007.
