| At least eight dead in Baghdad triple bombing | |

| Three bomb explosions tore through a busy market in Baghdad on Sunday, killing at least eight people and injuring 26 others. The blasts occurred in Shurja, an important commercial area in central Baghdad, on the first day of Eid al-Adha. A witness close to Shurja market said, "I can see fire and black smoke mounting and a large number of fire engines, ambulances and police patrols rushing to the market."
