Tom Friedman on Egypt- Then and Now |
2011-12-08 |
Back then (Feb 2011- this is the link at source) "...as we sit here today, the popular trend is not with the Muslim Brotherhood...." Now (Tuesday's NYTimes), "..that the Muslim Brotherhood and the even more fundamentalist Salafist Nour Party have garnered some 65 percent of the votes in the first round of EgyptÂ’s free parliamentary elections since the ouster of President Hosni Mubarak should hardly come as a surprise...." |

#2 fwiw, Friedman's income is enough so he bought 7 acres in Bethesda Md, tore down an existing structure and built an 11,000 sq ft mansion in its place. Of course he is a devoted advocate of Warmist ideology and a foe of greenhouse gases. |
