Kucinich Loses Ohio Race |
2012-03-07 |
Rep. Dennis Kucinich, who won a national following among liberals in two colorful but unsuccessful runs for president, was defeated by fellow Ohio Democratic Rep. Marcy Kaptur, leaving his political future in question. Mr. Kucinich has visited Washington State, prompting speculation that he might run for Congress from there, and his campaign has declined to rule out that option. It would be a highly unusual move, but Washington leans Democratic and there is an open congressional seat in a Seattle-area district. |

#4 In 2011 Kaptur introduced HR 1489 to re-instate Glass-Steagall Surprised, but I actually agree w this - consumer / commercial banking SHOULD be firewalled from investment banking as a risk management strategy. |

#3 In 2011 Kaptur introduced HR 1489 to re-instate Glass-Steagall and rein in the banking industry. She has introduced similar legislation before, and those measures have gone nowhere. |

#1 The Washington Democrats have already let it be known that they are doing just fine, and need no help, especially from a fruitcake carpetbagger. |
