Only in San Francisco. San Francisco is to appease the Golden Gate Audubon Society by spending $150,000 on top of $75,000 in legal fees to study if Americas Cup yachts scare birds. |

#4 They want to see if sailboats scare birds? If they put up more killer wind turbines, they could sanitize the migration routes and birds would not be a problem. |

#3 In other news, the city of San Francisco is trying to curb panhandling with puppies. They're going to pay homeless people to adopt dogs. So now they'll have dogs and people peeing and pooping in the streets. |

#2 I think most birds have good enough vision that they can see a boat coming and they're smart enough to get the hell out of the way. I would not give the human residents of San Francisco the same credit. |
