| #2 Attempting to be a modern-day T.E. Lawrence can end in disaster. The price for a westerner of "going native" in that part of the world is rather high. I remember an old Gahan Wilson cartoon depicting a bibbed overall farmer with his hands in his pockets chatting with a shortish R2D2 type martian in a hay field. The martians spacecraft sat off in the distance: "No sir, I don't think it's gonna matter how long you hang around these parts, people here are just never going to accept you." |

| #1 My sympathies are with the families of American servicemen murdered by Muslim "allies". For Ambassador Stevens I have nada. |
