#3 I haven't tried to analyze the hydraulics of an Aswan 'removal' - while it would clearly wreack havoc with the communities and cities all along the Nile (90% of the population?) would the flooding Nile still have the velocity for catastrophic erosion or would it clog its channel (braided stream morphology) and spread out over the breadth of the flood plain and slow down & soak in? |
