Bomb Kills Five in Southern Afghanistan |

[An Nahar] At least five people, including two women, were killed when a bomb targeting an army vehicle went kaboom!in southern Afghanistan on Monday, officials said. The remote-controlled bomb was placed on a cycle of violence and hit an Afghan army patrol truck as it was passing in Trin Kot the capital of Uruzgan province. "Two Afghan army soldiers and three non-combatants were killed in the blast," provincial police front man Farid Ayal told Agence La Belle France Presse. The Uruzgan governor's front man, Abdullah Hemat, said two women were among those killed. The blast also maimed eight others, including two soldiers, he said. |
