54 get the ax at WaPo
2013-02-16
They want to keep it a secret, so don't tell anyone, okay?
From TFA:

On Thursday, ValentineÂ’s Day, WaPo officially discussed the circumstances surrounding the layoffs of employees, FishbowlDC sources have learned. Internal sources appropriately place the number at 54, though a publicist hasnÂ’t confirmed the exact number. Every department facing cuts was asked to keep the news to their department only, as to not make it look like a mass layoff. WeÂ’re told those given pink slips include Beth Jacobs, General Manager of Mobile, and Ken Dodelin, Director of Mobile Products. Sources say the entire Mobile Product Management and IT Project Management staffs have been eliminated.

#7  Canned their IT staff to save pennies? Good for them, after a few months all the computers will stop working and they'll need to spend millions on consultants to set things right again.

#2  Like all other manufactured products, lies are getting cheaper, and there's no economical way to run a profitable commercial lie factory in such an expensive area as the Beltway...
