| Afghan Policeman Kills 5 Colleagues in Badghis | |

| [TOLONEWS] An Afghan Local Police (ALP) officer opened fire on his fellow policemen at a checkpoint in western Badghis province, killing five of them, local officials said Thursday. The incident occurred overnight in the Qadis district with the shooter escaping after the attack, Badghis police chief told TOLOnews.
There have been unofficial reports that the suspect was a former Taliban who had joined the peace process but this is yet to be confirmed. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the attack. | |
