| [Bangla Daily Star] Train communications on Jamalpur-Dewanganj route remained suspended for five hours yesterday as a grenade was found on the rail track near Chandra rail crossing in Jamalpur town. Police and witnesses said railway workers found the grenade around 10:00 am while they were working near the rail crossing. Being informed, Jamalpur Railway Thana police rushed to the spot and suspended train service on the route. The train communication resumed around 3:00 pm after a team of explosives experts from Ghatail Cantonment defused the grenade. It is suspected that myrmidons kept the grenade on the rail track for carrying out sabotage, reports UNB. He was attached to the public administration ministry, a gazette notification of the ministry said.
