| [Al Ahram] An attack Thursday in restive northern Nigeria where suspected Islamists stormed a cop shoppe and stole nearly $60,000 from a bank killed 20 Death Eaters and five officers, the local police chief said Friday. "Five coppers and 20 gunnies had been confirmed dead when some Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... Terrorist attacked police formations in Gashua town," the Yobe state police commissioner, Sanusi Rufai, said of the attack. Nigeria's military had previously given a toll of seven dead in the Thursday clash. |
