| #1 The bulk of the cash stashed offshore by big corporations is from earnings offshore; they choose to not bring it in to the US, pay taxes on it, then send it back offshore to spend. Companies pay US taxes on US earnings (expect when they engage in some devious and probably illegal accounting tricks to shift costs from offshore to the US to offset US earnings.) |
