#16  Thank you Besoeker ! Excellent Link to Alle Stadlstern Sieger 2006-2010 - 30 Jahre Musikantenstadl.

Frankly, the video reminded me of the Alpine Village in Torrance, CA where I spent many an enjoyable evening during my late 20's. Damn, that was fun...

#14  Glamorous and classy, that's how I remember her. You don't see many ladies with that kind of refinement on television anymore.

#13  I remember Kitty as well. I wasn't exactly a toddler then; she was about my grandmother's age.

#12  Kitty Carlisle was born as Catherine Conn (Kitty is a nickname for Catherine; the surname was pronounced Cohen) in New Orleans, Louisiana. Her family was of German Jewish heritage. Her grandfather, Ben Holtzman, was the mayor of Shreveport, Louisiana. A Confederate veteran of the American Civil War, Holtzman had been a gunner on the CSS Virginia, perhaps better known as by its previous Union name of Merrimack, the famous Confederate ironclad warship that fought the USS Monitor. Carlisle's father, Dr. Joseph Conn, was a gynecologist who died when she was 10.[citation needed]

#9  We were all younger and more innocent then. I had no idea how "Fish Sauce" was made.

#8  But it's hard to believe Kitty was ever as young as she seems to be in the picture.

#5  I remember Kitty Carlisle from when I was just a toddler (cough, cough) as a regular panelists on the old "To Tell The Truth" TV show.
She did have a "mouth on her" IIRC though nothing like the snarc of Dorthy Kigalen.
