| Government troops open gun fire on demonstrators |

| [Shabelle] government soldiers shot at indiscriminately to a number of Hodan residents in Mogadishu while they were expressing their grievances to a group of gunnies who demolished their residency using bulldozers. Two civilians was struck down in his prime including a female demonstrator and an equal number sustained injuries. The men believed to be government soldiers were hired to demolish structures housing civilians in Hodan district. "Government soldiers who were equipped with bulldozers tried to demolish the structures and this resulted to chaos in the area" said an eye witness. The Hodan district administration issued warnings to vacate the structures previously. |
