| #2 RJ, look at the use of hovercraft in Vietnam by the Navy, the skirts could actually take a surprising amount of damage before causing a loss of mobility. And the skirts on hovercraft are thick, even civilian models you'd need more than a knife to hurt most. |

| #1 I would think the skirt of the hovercraft would be dangerously vunerable for a military vehicle. Yes it could float over land mines but if military vehicle can be knocked out by a knife you've got a problem. |
