QUETTA: Two people were gunned down in a sectarian attack on Zarghoon Road on Wednesday. According to police, unidentified armed men, riding a motorcycle, opened indiscriminate fire on a car at a CNG station on Zarghoon Road area of Quetta. As a result, the two people died on the spot while the attackers managed to escape from the scene.
Police rushed to the site after the incident and cordoned off the area to arrest the suspects.
The deceased were taken to Civil Hospital Quetta where they were identified as Bunir Ali, a resident of Hazara Town, and Muhammad Hayat of Bannu. Hospital sources said that the deceased received bullets in their head and chest. Sources within the police department said that it might have been a sectarian attack.
