Egypt's Morsi to stand trial for inciting murder |
2013-10-10 |
h/t Gates of Vienna Egypt's deposed president, Mohammed Morsi, is to go on trial next month accused of inciting the killings of protesters, a mirror image of the case against his predecessor Hosni Mubarak. What's sauce for the goose... Mr Morsi is to face a court on November 4 along with fourteen other senior Muslim Brotherhood figures, bringing to an end a period of legal limbo for the toppled leader. His whereabouts have been secret since he disappeared on July 3, when the defence minister, Gen Abdulfattah al-Sisi, announced he had been removed from office. I'm getting ear plugs in anticipation of international community's howling |
