| [Pak Daily Times] Law enforcement agencies have apprehended more than half a dozen suspects for their alleged involvement in carrying out attacks outside imambargahs in the city. As per details, last night three consecutive blasts took place in two different imambargahs. Two in North Nazimabad and one in North Bloody Karachi ...formerly the capital of Pakistain, now merely its most important port and financial center. It is among the largest cities in the world, with a population of 18 million, most of whom hate each other and many of whom are armed and dangerous... locality that maimed around 14 people. According to bomb disposal squad's experts, the first blast was carried out with the help of a remote control, second went kaboom!with a timer device and the third one was a hand grenade. However, we can't all be heroes. Somebody has to sit on the curb and applaud when they go by... law enforcers are still unaware whether a single group of bully boyz was behind the incident or more than two. Meanwhile, ...back at the revival hall, Buford bit the snake and Eloise began speaking in tongues... raids were carried out in the areas where the kabooms took place, and placed in durance vile Maw! They're comin' to get me, Maw! around 10 suspects allegedly involved in the attacks. Additional IG Karachi Shahid Hayat also claimed that a few suspects have also been rounded up and further investigations were underway. |

| #1 For the curious: An imambargah is a congregation hall for Shia commemoration ceremonies, especially those associated with the Remembrance of Muharram. The name comes from Husayn Ibn Ali, the grandson of Muhammad and an Imam of the Shia. Hussain was killed by Yazid I in Karbala, Iraq, over 1,300 years ago. Shias still mourn the death of Hussain every year on the day of Ashura in imambaraghs all over the world. A Hussainiya is different from a mosque in that it is intended mainly for gatherings for Muharram in the mourning of Hussain ibn Ali, and may not necessarily hold juma'at, or Friday Prayer. In other words Sunnis are killing Shia again |
