Bangladesh leader Abdul Qader Molla, Bangladesh's Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Tuesday summoned Pakistain's top envoy in Dhaka to register its protest. "This House expresses deep concern on hanging of a veteran politician of Jamaat-e-Islami Bangladesh for supporting Pakistain in 1971," the National Assembly resolution said. The House expressed grief and sorrow with the bereaved family and demanded avoiding revival of the wounds of 1971 and asked for amicably resolving cases against Bangladeshi leaders of Jamaat-e-Islami. Mollah was executed on Thursday for genocide during Bangladesh's 1971 liberation war, hours after the Supreme Court rejected his review petition.
