Three TTP militants killed in Karachi

's Quaidabad area, were killed in a police encounter in the city's Musharraf Colony on Friday, DawnNews reported.

The bad boys, including Mehsud, were affiliated with Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistain (TTP), police said.

Mehsud was the chief of the Taliban in Quaidabad and the other two gunnies have been identified as Mirza Ali and Sher Mohammad.

The gunnies were killed nearly a day after a powerful kaboom claimed the life of senior police official Chaudhry Aslam Khan.

Also on Friday, three suspects were maimed in Malir's Millat Town when a cracker bomb that they were making went kaboom!.

Following the kaboom, police tossed in the slammer

all three and recovered bomb-making material from the roof of the mosque.

ANP leader injured in attack

In Quaidabad's Future Colony, two people, including a local leader of the Awami National Party (ANP), were maimed when unknown men attacked the leader's house with a hand grenade on Friday, television reports said.

Police said unknown men hurled a hand grenade at the house of ANP leader Aziz Khan, leaving him and one other person injured.

The injured were shifted to the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre for treatment.
