Kerry told Iranian FM existing US sanctions will remain
2014-02-03
US Secretary of State John Kerry and Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif on Sunday discussed talks next month on a definitive settlement of a dispute over Iran's nuclear programme, with Kerry telling him existing US sanctions stood.

They met on the sidelines of the Munich Security Conference.

"Secretary Kerry reiterated the importance of both sides negotiating in good faith and Iran abiding by its commitments under the Joint Plan of Action. He also made clear that the United States will continue to enforce existing sanctions," a US State Department official said.
For now. Wait a month...
Six world powers and Iran reached a first-stage agreement in November that curbs some Iranian nuclear activities in return for a partial easing of sanctions choking the country's economy. Implemented January 20, that accord will be in effect for six months while further negotiations on a permanent agreement are held.

The next round of talks between the two sides will take place in Vienna on February 18.
