| Shaboobs escape from Mombasa prison |

| According to officials from the Kenyan government, up to 10 prisoners that were held under custody due to suspected association with Al-Shabaab have escaped. They initiated their escape after they were being transferred to a different prison in Mombasa other than the one they were being held in. The prisoners were said to have fled from the vehicle they were being transported in and an official reported that one of the convicts was named Xamiid Saalim Xamiid. All the jailbirds that got away were all captured at Masjid Musa in Mombasa, Kenya. |
