2014-03-03
[Tolo News] A number of religious scholars on Sunday in Herat
...a venerable old Persian-speaking city in western Afghanistan, populated mostly by Tadjiks, which is why it's not as blood-soaked as areas controlled by Pashtuns...
announced their support for Presidential candidate Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayaf, who is also a religious scholar by training.

The Imam Ghezali Foundation was among those who endorsed Sayaf's canidacy.

"We will vote again and will vote for someone who is worth it and that is no one else but our great teacher, Professor Abdul Rab Rassoul Sayaf," Mawlawi Muhammad proclaimed to the crowd of religious scholars gathered at an event in Herat.

Muhammad Ismael Khan, the First Vice Presidential candidate of Sayaf, took the opporunity to assure supporters that if elected the overall security of Afghanistan would be prioritized.

"We hope that with the leadership of this scholar and your support, we can fulfill the hopes of the deaders of this country," Ismael Khan said.

Meanwhile,
...back at the Hubba Hubba Club, Big Shirley was still trying to snatch Nunzio bald-headed. She was already halfway there...
a number of female supporters for Sayaf planted 1,000 trees in the Bagh Melat part of Herat to symbolize their solidarity with his campaign, according to Mahsa Tayeh, the person coordinating the campaign's efforts to whip up female support in the West.

Sayaf is expected to travel to Herat in the coming week.
