| According to news reports from near Tiyeeglow in the Bakool region, there have been violent confrontations today in the town. The battle was initiated when Al-Shabaab insurgents attacked an African Union convoy of the Ethiopian contingent and Somali National Army when they were passing 5km of the Tiyeeglow district. Locals report to Shabelle that the confrontations were going on for at least a few hours and that around 6 terrorist insurgents and many more were injured. Furthermore lieutenant Abdullahi Mohamed Ugaas the chief of the search operations going on in Bakool region said that more of Al-Shabaab's fighters were killed than the Somali National Army or African Union troops. |
