| #4 We'll put it in place, work the bugs, and then hopefully have a model where other states where something like this is not overwhelmingly approved (check out the vote numbers) could say, hey this program is already working. And it should garnish the support of any group which spends a lot of time on the road and/or responsible people. Truckers, retired LEOs and military, traveling disaster related electrical repair crews, special delivery couriers, perhaps even quietly a number of other groups. Imagine running a freight route from the Chicago docks to Kansas City hub. There are many no good neighborhoods and also lots of remote road. Driver wants to be able to protect themself, does a person abide by the most restrictive law of the route or have a constant county-by-county travel guide hoping some local didn't change the law in between publishing and the travel? |

| #3 Yeah, no kidding there. Gar-un-tee though those two have been discussed, dismissed as not yet. As for absurdities becomeing realities, a year ago a remake of Blazing Saddles was outlandish, today White Chicks is out of the question, a movie about as edgy as a plastic cup of warm milk. And generally keep cards close to the chest ;) |

| #1 Not too big of a deal in Kansas, except the two locations mentioned are major travel hubs. Wyandotte is Wichita whichis I-35 which is STL/KC/OKC/TX. Obviously that route also includes Kansas City Kansas which affect STL/KC/Denver I-70. I also default on let locals do local things, except this is a US Constitution Bill of Rights deal, so good. Third, looking at the five states mentioned who do allow locality to trump state regulations, I'm convinced this is a good measure. Like I said yesterday, if we can desebelius the courts and start attracting some business. One could argue that Kansas is not New Jersey, and New Jersey is not Kansas, don't necessarily agree but get the arguement, but allowed rights should be uniform within said state. It would be absurd to mandate that travelers deflate their spare tires before driving around Wichita, or that in Wichita people are not allowed to use public access internet for social media. |
