Kerry: US ready to work closely with Modi
2014-05-21
[Dhaka Tribune] The United States is ready to work closely with newly-elected Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government, its Secretary of State John F. I was in Vietnam, you know Kerry
Former Senator-for-Life from Massachussetts, self-defined war hero, speaker of French, owner of a lucky hat, conqueror of Cambodia, and current Secretary of State...
has said.

John Kerry congratulated Narendra Modi on becoming the Prime Minister of India and his party for a win in Lok Sabha election in a statement issued on Tuesday.

"The US stands ready to work closely with Prime Minister Modi and the new government to promote shared prosperity and strengthen our security."

"The friendship between world's oldest democracy and the world's largest democracy is absolutely vital and the US is deeply invested in our strategic relationship."

Kerry said the vote in India was "nothing short of remarkable: more voters cast their ballots freely and fairly than any other in world history."

#5  OTOH, given his alleged poor treatment or reception by the US, Modi himself is apparently in no rush to visit or accomodate the US???

E.g. DEFENCE.PK/FORUMS > [IBNLive, NewsOne India] RUSSIA, CHINA, + JAPAN, NOT AMERICA, ON NARENDRA MODI'S PRIORITY LIST.
