| [DAWN] PESHAWAR: A child was injured when unidentified persons hurled a hand grenade at a house in Musazai area in suburbs of Beautiful Downtown Peshawar ...capital of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (formerly known as the North-West Frontier Province), administrative and economic hub for the Federally Administered Tribal Areas of Pakistan. Peshawar is situated near the eastern end of the Khyber Pass, convenient to the Pak-Afghan border. Peshawar has evolved into one of Pakistan's most ethnically and linguistically diverse cities, which means lots of gunfire. on Wednesday evening, police said. An official of Badbher police said that the grenade was thrown at the hujra of Malik Aman, a former nazim ...small time big shot, the chief elected official of a local government in Pakistan, such as a district, tehsil, union council, or village council... of Musazai union council, which damaged the building. The official said that police reached the spot soon after the incident and blocked the entry and exit points of the area to arrest the suspects. However, those who apply themselves too closely to little things often become incapable of great things... no arrest was made till filing of this report. Police started the paperwork but haven't done much else against unknown suspects and began investigation. |
