[Libya Herald] The severed head of a Derna student who apparently challenged members of an Islamist brigade has been found dumped in a mosque in the eastern town.A Derna resident identified the young man as Abdul Moaz Abdul Razk Turkawi saying his head been found wrapped in a plastic bag in the town's Sabaha mosque. The resident said he had witnessed an incident yesterday where Turkawi had challenged members of the Islamic Army in Derna who had seized his car at a checkpoint.
Turkawi walked away from the altercation and the events leading to his death are unknown.
The teacher training college in Derna where Turkawi was a student has expressed its sadness at his death, offering condolences to his family.
