#13  Hope Hagel hires a food taster or car starter.

And stays away from parks and light aircraft.

#11  Oopsie!: White House Backtracks: On Second Thought, Obama Is Responsible For Bergdahl Deal, Not HagelÂ…

Did Mr. Hagel threaten to spill the beans?

#10  Yo, Chuck...mind checking the oil while you're under there?

#9  Rambler; that is hilarious but plausible that Obama first heard about it as he was reading the TelePrompTer.

#8  That's good snark, Rambler.

#7  Actually, the first time O knew anything about the Bergdahl swap was when he saw himself on CNN announcing it with Bowe's parents.

#6  If hypothetically the US government were to lean really hard on Qatar's leadership, wouldn't it be possible to make them return the Taliban 5 to US custody.

Why wouldn't they actually do this? They could humiliate the Taliban before a global audience.
'We don't negotiate with terrorists. We cheat them!' they could say.

Wouldn't this turn into a big boost for Obama's popularity?

Unless this really was about appeasing the Taliban and the release was a cover story, why indeed wouldn't they annul the agreement?

#4  How long before some erstwhile bus victim stands up and says FU! This is what happened! And spills the beans on all of this corruption?

#3  Yes, Chuck the sock puppet did it! Bad Chuck! (hits with rubber chicken) Bad Chuck!
I've heard they're trying to build a jacked-up 4wheel drive version of a DC bus, so it can go anywhere, and there will be plenty of room under it when they get there.

#2  The regime appears to be in total meltdown. From one commenter:

“I make no apologies for it. It was a unanimous decision among MY principals in MY government, and a view that was shared by MY Joint Chiefs of Staff. This is something I would do again and I will continue to do whenever I have an opportunity” –

#1  Once again the Chosen One chooses to pass the buck to a luckless bagholder. Chuck Hagel, welcome to the club.
