Six Civilians Killed In Faryab |

[Tolo News] At least six non-combatants were killed and four others were maimed on Wednesday in separate incidents in Faryab province, according to local officials on Thursday. According to Abdulsalam Nazhat Dawolatabad district governor, following an armed government opposition attack on a security checkpoint in Dawolatabad district a missile hit a residential home wounding a teenage boy and girl. "While the victims were being transferred to a hospital their riksha hit a roadside mine," Nazhat said. "And as a result four people were killed and three others maimed." In a separate incident on the same day, gunnies attacked a police checkpoint in Almar district of Faryab province claiming the lives of two civilians and wounding three others when the krazed killer's mortar shell hit a residential home. According to the local officials, during the attacks eight gunnies were killed and seven others were maimed. |
