| Leb security agencies roll up three suicide rings | |

| Security agencies have busted three suicide rings that allegedly have no direct links to the recent bombings that targeted a police checkpoint and the entrance Beirut's southern suburbs. A security source told al-Mustaqbal newspaper published on Sunday that the Army Intelligence is questioning the first network, the General Security Directorate the second and the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Branch the third ring.
The army announced on Saturday that detainees apprehended during raids in Fnaideq over the past week confessed to the existence of a cave in the region where they used to prepare explosives. The confessions were made by Alaa Kanaan and Mahmoud Khaled, members of a terrorist bombing who were recently arrested. | |
