| [MAGHAREBIA] Libya's electoral commission on Monday (July 21st) announced the results of the June 25th parliamentary poll, Libya Herald reported. The final make-up of the 200-seat House of Representatives will only be known after the formation of political blocs. Liberals are expected to fill most seats in the new parliament, unlike the former assembly, which was dominated by Islamists. "According to my estimates, the Islamists have not won more than 30 seats," Benghazi deputy Younes Fannouch told AFP. Twelve of the 200 seats have not been attributed, since the vote in certain polling stations was annulled for suspected electoral fraud. |
