| IDF to enlist 16,000 more reservists as Israel presses on with Gaza operation |

| The IDF was permitted to mobilize 16,000 additional reserve forces as the Israel pushed forward with its campaign against Hamas in the Gaza Strip on Thursday. The order was announced along with early-morning rocket fire Thursday from Gaza on southern Israel. On Wednesday, Defense Minister Moshe Ya'alon spoke by phone with his American counterpart Chuck Hagel, who called for a humanitarian cease-fire in Gaza that would lead to a permanent end in fighting along with the disarmament of Hamas. Hagel's call came amid US concern over the rising number of deaths on both sides of the conflict, said Pentagon spokesman John Kirby. I bet Bogie didn't say "We appreciate your concerns. We would appreciate even more if you people concentrated on fixing your own screw-ups from Iraq to Ukraina, and leave us alone. p.s. How many Pakistani peasants you drone per month?" |
