| Boko Haram leader declares Islamic caliphate in Nigeria |

| [WASHINGTONTIMES] A northeast Nigeria ... a particularly crimson stretch of Islam's bloody border... n town seized earlier this month by Boko Haram ... not to be confused with Procol Harum, Harum Scarum, possibly to be confused with Helter Skelter. The Nigerian version of al-Qaeda and the Taliban rolled together and flavored with a smigeon of distinctly Subsaharan ignorance and brutality... bully boyz has been placed under an Islamic caliphate, the groupâ™s leader said. âThanks be to Allah, who gave victory to our brethren in (the town of) Gwoza and made it part of the Islamic caliphate,â Abubakar Shekau says in a 52-minute video obtained by the Agence La Belle France-Presse. âBy the grace of Allah, we will not leave the town. We have come to stay.â In the video, Mr. Shekau lauds the leader of the Islamic State, His Supreme Immensity, Caliph of the Faithful and Galactic Overlord, Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi ...formerly merely the head of ISIL and a veteran of the Bagram jailhouse. Looks like a new messiah to bajillions of Moslems, like just another dead-eyed mass murder to the rest of us... , who in late June declared himself âthe caliphâ and âleader of Moslems everywhere,â AFP reported. It was not clear, however, if Mr. Shekau was declaring himself to be a part of Mr. Baghdadiâ™s caliphate or if he was referring to a separate caliphate in Nigeria. |

| #1 It was not clear, however, if Mr. Shekau was declaring himself to be a part of Mr. Baghdadiâ™s caliphate or if he was referring to a separate caliphate in Nigeria. Does it matter? |
