Shahbaz condemns attack on state institutions
2014-09-02
[DAWN] LAHORE: Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif
...Pak dynastic politician, brother of PM Nawaz Sharif, chief minister of Punjab...
says the attack on state institutions like parliament and Prime Minister's House in Islamabad can be termed the blackest day in the political history of the country.

Talking to assembly members here on Sunday, he said some so-called politicians attacked the buildings and highest institutions of the country by violating law and the Constitution, which was highly condemnable.

He praised Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif
... served two non-consecutive terms as prime minister, heads the Pakistain Moslem League (Nawaz). Noted for his spectacular corruption, the 1998 Pak nuclear test, border war with India, and for being tossed by General Musharraf...
for showing sagacity to save the country from a major tragedy. He believed that after the step, Imran Khan
... aka Taliban Khan, who ain't the brightest knife in the national drawer...
had lost sympathies of a majority of his supporters.

He alleged that Imran Khan and Tahirul Qadri
...Pak politician, and would-be dictator, founder and head of Tehreek-e-Minhajul Quran and Pakistain Awami Tehrik. He usually resides in Canada, but returns to Pakistain periodically to foam at the mouth and lead demonstrations. Depending on which way the wind's blowing, Qadri claims to be the author of Pak's blasphemy law. Other times he says it wasn't him...
wanted to turn the country into a battlefield but the people smelt their intentions and rejected the move. He appealed to PML-N workers, supporters and voters to show restraint despite provocations.
